We have mentioned before that we have purchased 39 hectares of land for the development of the new Animal Rescue Centre. We have agreed access to all 39 hectares, however, in reality we have paid for the first 20 hectares outright with an agreement to purchase the remaining 19 within two years.
We are paying $600 per hectare for the land and so need $11400 to complete the purchase, and of course lots more for the site development. If anyone would like to help fundraise for this, or to donate any amount (however small), we would be very happy and grateful.
We have about 400 – 500 members/supporters – if everyone was able to raise $20.00 we would be able to buy the land!! And this is land which is mainly secondary jungle which still retains many older trees as well, and the remainder is where we will build our volunteer accommodation, etc and will work to reforest with appropriate trees and undergrowth. There are many, many different species of plants and animals on the site (we hope to have some research into this start soon) and so we are helping to conserve/replant as well. Como ya mencionamos en noticias anteriores, hemos adquirido 39 hectáreas de terreno para el desarrollo del nuevo centro de rehabilitación de animales. Hemos acordado el uso del total de las hectáreas, aunque en realidad hemos pagado las primeras 20 hectáreas con un acuerdo de comprar las 19 restantes en los próximos dos años.
Estamos pagando $600 por hectárea de terreno, por lo tanto necesitamos $11400 para completar la compra, y mucho más para el desarrollo. Si estás interesado en ayudar recaudando fondos o si estás dispuesto a donar una pequeña cantidad de dinero, estaríamos muy contentos y muy agradecidos.

Hay muchas, muchas diferentes especies de plantas y animales viviendo en el terreno (pronto empezaremos a investigar y a formar una base de datos) así que estamos trabajando en conservar/reforestar también.
